Pair rescued from car stuck in floodwaters on Gold Coast
Two women have made a lucky escape after being pulled from their vehicle in floodwaters on the Gold Coast overnight.
The pair are alleged to have driven into rising waters on the corner of Bonogin Road and Broadoak Court in Bonogin around 10.00pm.
Their vehicle became stuck, prompting a rescue operation from Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews.
A QFES spokesperson told myGC crews were able to walk the women out with floatation devices.
They thankfully managed to escape without any injury.
