Fire ban in place for the Gold Coast, SEQ

 The Gold Coast, and much of the southeast, is now under a local fire ban due to some risky conditions over the next couple of days.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services put the ban in place from midnight and it will continue right through until midnight tomorrow.

The areas under the ban include the Gold Coast, Logan, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Lockyear Valley and Somerset.
